This professional-level course offers participants the chance to explore wetland plant identification. Daily field visits to diverse wetlands will be complemented by evening indoor sessions to review and deepen learning. Designed for serious learners of all experience levels, the course covers species recognition of wetland plants in the Midwest and Eastern regions, habitat indicators, wetland soil assessment, plant assemblages in various wetland communities, and the use of taxonomic keys. Some natural history background is recommended, but serious learners of all levels of experience are welcome to attend.
